Healthtech SMEs – Challenges in a post-pandemic and Brexit world
The roundtable discussion is being hosted by the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI), as part of the Health Technology Regulatory and Innovation Programme. This programme is funded by Innovate UK and jointly delivered by ABHI and CPI. It provides support to SMEs that produce and develop products in HealthTech (medical devices, diagnostics and digital health technologies) to access regulatory-related advice, with grant funding of up to £30,000 already being offered to successful applicants.
The roundtable will introduce the Health Technology Regulatory and Innovation Programme and how SMEs in the North East of England can apply and benefit from the grant funding. Facilitated discussions will also seek at a UK level to:
- Identify current barriers to inform future policy and improve the SME landscape.
- Simplify the Regulatory and Innovation route to market.
- Increase the pace of adoption and revenue generation.
- Increase the attractiveness of UK SMEs for future funding and innovation.
The event will be of interest to SMEs that produce and develop products in HealthTech (medical devices, diagnostics and digital health technologies).
