Improving Population Health

The AHSN NENC is uniquely positioned working with our ICS, local NHS Trusts and Primary Care Networks bringing together expert practitioners to ensure that we implement and evaluate innovative clinical pathways. We work hard to ensure that we work in areas that are a priority for our ICS to improve the health of the populations that we serve.

We have built collaborative partnerships with universities and pharmaceutical colleagues to support us in implementing innovation and research into clinical practice providing demonstrable improvements and increasing productivity.

This brochure highlights the work we have been undertaking to improve the health of the NENC population through our national programmes including Detecting Atrial Fibrillation and Prevention of Cerebral Palsy in the Preterm Infant.
